FRIDAY MAY 30, 2008
Rise and Shine
Spurn the annoying growl of the coffee maker. Shun the chirpy, espresso-fuelled waiter and the faint odour from the guy who's been drinking in the bar since dawn. In fact, to Hell with the whole mundane morning ritual. Roll over and go back to bed.

Breakfast in bed used to be something that only happened on special occasions (read never), but now - any day of the week - you can get it delivered straight to your door. From there it's your call.

Have it in your bathrobe, all unshaven - or dress up for the occasion, if the whole Breakfast at Tiffany's bag is your thing. And we're talking a decent brekkie here; think fresh pastries, breads, and fruit. Even the morning papers. Feed yourself or host a brunch.

So why not spend the rest of your day fantasising about what you'd really love for breakfast. No coffee-maker to grind its teeth at you. No waiter to bless you with false glee. Just you and your breakfast. How you get through the rest of the day, though, sadly there's no help there.
