Another
week and another debate about the third
hour of Castellano in the classrooms. Pointless, really,
given the generally
declining state of the educational system that has
left us barely able to tell our ass from elbow, much less
our cul from culo. |
 |
The
focus on linguistic politics is naturally fueled by
Joachim Hunold, Air Berlin's CEO, whose recent comments
led to some nasty
wurst and butifarra-slinging, but we at UJ like
to look at the bigger picture: We admit our ignorance;
please educate our stupid asses on the wider universe.
And, as though an excuse was needed, what better reason
is there to pop down to the dinners at the Observatori
Fabra. Held outdoors under the starry skies during the
summer months, the set menu is accompanied by an informative
lecture on science and astronomy and a session at the
giant telescope |
 |
Impressive
stuff. As is the view of the city from the garden.
Perfect for a romantic date or to compensate for
having napped in science class. You'd never have
thought that you could learn this much about the
stars without consulting a copy of Hola!.
