On
a night like Sant Joan there's something to be said
for home entertainment. Don't get me wrong, I'm
all for a good party, but not necessarily this annual
macro-botellón stretching from Sant Sebastià
to Sant Adrià. |
 |
Rather
than spend another year inevitably ending up with sand
in my panties - just from sitting down, please - and
some undignified hustling for an overpriced cab back
home, I figured that I'd sort out my night up
front by calling Matt, the Singing Chef, to host my
own little soiree.
With a choice of four menus, he'll bring the food and
wine, cook, clean and, yes, entertain, too. All this
in the comfort of your own home where there's
an actual, functioning loo, and the only riffraff present
are those you call your friends.
|
 |
Now
that's much more civilized. Until somebody eventually,
sometime between dessert and that third vodka
tonic too many, someone will utter those dreaded
words: "Let's go check out what's happening
on the beach."
