We're
always a bit suspicious when an otherwise successful business
man - Florentino Perez springs to mind - starts meddling
in other areas. Cobbler, stick to thy last, and let the
blessed hobby remain just that. But I get the impression
Sergi Ferrer-Salat isn't listening to our advice. |

Not
content with his daytime job as CEO of a successful
pharmaceutical, he's been taking his liking for a drop
of Shiraz and Burgundy a bit further than normal. First
a vineyard, and now something that will have the town's
oenophiles rubbing their Riedels in glee.
This week he opens his new temple to the grape, Món
Vínic, which, with its menu of 3,000 wines -
browseable on a helpful tablet PC - and some 50 wines
available by the glass, will surely give Born's
Vila
Vinateca a run for its money.

In
addition to a restaurant with nosh from rising
star Sergi De Meià, bodega and wine bar,
there's a member's section with library,
private dining room and meeting facilities. Sergi
is clearly a man who knows what a little Jesus
juice can do for business.
Món
Vínic - open to public from
