Times of Crisis |

The
newspaper editors may be happy to have something to write
about, but I’m getting tired of all this crash and
crisis talk already - and everything is only meant to
get worse. |
|
But
if things are this troubled in the midst of the summer
sales - and this year prices are so low that you can
almost smell the perspiration from the sweatshop workers
- how bad will it get? Will we be forced onto the DIY
bandwagon to get dressed this Winter? Peddle our wares
for food on the table?
A number of specialized services have already thrived
on enabling trading hand-crafted goods - leading players
Etsy.com
and DaWanda.com
are even being hyped as the new eBays - and from today,
linguistically-challenged Spanish speakers can also
join in, with the launch of MyCraftyCloset.com
which offers a Spanish interface. |
|
Similar
to the two other services, it’ll let anybody
set up their own shop, for free, with just a few
mouse clicks. Promotional tools are available
and you can customize your shop window at will.
Perhaps we won’t go starving this Winter
after all.
MyCraftyCloset.com
