I
read that the town hall workers in Torremolinos now have
to ask for permission every time they want to leave
their desk. Me, I've already taken so many fag and coffee
breaks that my hands tremble when I'm back at my desk
trying to log into Facebook. |

It's
that time of year when half the offices are on a summer
schedule and the rest of us are trying to look busy
while counting down to August. That's why now is the
time, to save up time for time banks.
The concept of time banks is nothing new - from
Parma in Italy, it's spread to the UK, the US,
and as far as New Zealand - but it has mostly
been about do-gooders volunteering their time at charities,
that offer little more than bragging rights . No such
non-sense here in Barcelona, where anything goes. I'll
scratch your back if you scratch mine later.

|
Here,
your time can be traded in for massages, household
chores or anything else that you can coerce people
into doing for whatever you offer. So now, what
could possibly be done during office hours?
