I’d never go back to living in a small town. But, pushed too find an upside to life there, at least it was infinitely easier to plan a night out. Now I've got to keep tabs on not only where to go, but also what night and at what time.

Drop by your regular on a different night than usual, and chances are that the place has been taken over by barely legal clubkids, tomboyish lesbians, or (the horror! the horror!) a networking crowd of fugly pseudo-professionals, singles or, worse yet, both.

Take Buda, for example, home of the popular ‘Models Night’ on Tuesdays. You go half expecting the regular snooty door people and long-legged dimwits. But mistake the day and stumble in, say, tonight, and you’re greeted with a smile and a crowd that seemingly eats three meals a day on a regular basis, and knows not only how to pose, but the basics of conversation too.
