Even
with the credit crisis and all, we aren't going
hungry just yet. But somebody must've thought
that it'd be best to keep us well-fed with musical
entertainment this Mercé. |

Officially
starting tonight with French YAS
in concert, we're bracing ourselves for six days of
noise, "cerveza, cerveza?" street vendor calls,
and the young and not-so-young relieving themselves
in every conceivable corner, until the whole shebang
culminates in the fab-tastically kitsch Piromusical
next Wednesday.
Love it or hate it, it's even harder to avoid this
year, stretching far beyond Forum and Ciutat Vella into
spaces like Parc Ciutadella and Bikini. But the caliber
of acts has also been upped this year, and, just for
you, here's our little pick of the highlights:
Friday:
cirKus - Plaça dels Àngels,
Raval, 23:45
No longer doing the Buffalo Stance, but Neneh Cherry's
back
Saturday:
Primal Scream - Fàbrica
DAMM, Sagrada Familia, 22:30
Legendary cult band fronted by Bobby Gillespie
