Carnivores' delight

The original Hawksmoor, which has only become cooler over time, is a fine place for a heartier brunch experience. There's no separate brunch menu, but it opens at 12 noon on a Sunday, when you might be in need of London cure salmon, plum pudding belly ribs or half a lobster with garlic and hazelnut butter, followed by a steak (bone-in rib gets our vote), the Hawksmoor burger, or remarkable roast beef. The legendary sausage and egg HkMuffin is on the menu at weekends.

Don't miss the marmalade cocktail.

Sunday lunch: 12 noon–4.30pm. The bar is open from 12pm on both Saturday and Sunday (serving food 12pm-3pm and then 4pm-11pm on Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday).
