Bit of a Vancouver Institution

EVERY teenager from Vancouver had, or lusted after, a Westbeach sweatshirt. Girl or boy, the hoodie, with three guys carrying surfboards on it, was an instant pass to cool. Celebrating its 30th Birthday last year, Westbeach continues to be a leader on and off the half pipe dress circuit. The staff here are knowledgeable, and don't mind if you spend hours choosing your boots and snow 'wares - they know that comfort means everything. There's of course a good selection of boards, tech gear and accessories here, as well as a heritage collection, where brights are king. If you are doing the trawl of snowboard shops on 4th Avenue, this should be your first port of call.

Top Tip / UJ Loves: If you want to check in on a 'boarders' local scene in Vancouver, or ask any questions about boarding on any of the local mountains, or Whistler and Blackcomb, talking to the staff here would be a good start- they always hire the cool cats.
