An old dog is the Dog Star. The destination venue of Brixton for many a year now feels a touch on the Nineties-side, but still manages to draw a consistently up-for-it crowd (too much, sometimes) and an interesting and innovative musical output. Random characters and impromptu bongo-players are another of this venue's highlights.
