Another summer is almost done! But not without closings. We love end of Sept/early October in Ibiza. Closings, like openings, are when the locals, and industry descend. Time to bid adieu to another season. You'll see from our list below that starting from today, as always, it's going to be a busy two weeks! This week also sees Pacha music editor and UJ Ibiza contributor Ralph Moore's 40th birthday party in Ibiza. Happy Birthday Ralph! Stay tuned for instagrams from his bash - Sven, Eats, all the biggies are coming out to play, and then some. And for those of you who haven't gotten a trip in yet this season - what are you waiting for? See you on the dancefloor.

| Let the marathon begin |

You think you can do them all, but you can't. Every year we try. We usually do make it to about four back-to-back though (and then ensues the no voice) so pick wisely, grab your dancing posse, and hop to it.
First up it's it's DC10 for Jamie Jones's Paradise closing, followed by an earlier start at Diynamic at Destino on the 25, and then straight into Music On at Amnesia on the 26. For the 27, you need to be at Ants (#UJloves) at Ushuaïa's closing, and then it's over to El Row and Kehakuma's closing at Space, followed by the start of the big boy closings with We Love's the next day at Space again (you should probably just stay there). Continuing the heavy hitters is Cocoon on the 29 at Amnesia, Enter (Space) on the 2nd, the 3rd is Luciano and friends at Destino, followed by Ushuaïa and Amnesia (two of the latest and biggest – we normally go to Amnesia Sunday AM) and capped off with Space's and Solomun at Pacha's closing on the 5 (OUR FAVE!). Last up, as always, it's Circo Loco at DC10 on the 6. And now it's time for some zzzs.

We've been looking for a new home away from home in Ibiza. Something central-ish but not in the thick of it; luxe, but not a big hotel; and we definitely didn't want to wake up to a rave in our backyard. So when we made our way down the gravel road and entered the agroturismo oasis that is Can Lluc, we knew we may have just found our new best friend. |

Did we mention it's Ralph's birthday this week? Happy Birthday Ralph! Raving his way through the summer, Ralph brings us his top five tracks of the season.
1. Caribou – 'Can't Do Without You' (Tale Of Us & Mano Le Tough Remix) (City Slang)
The song of the year comes round once again with this simple but oh so effective remix from Mano and DC10 mainstays Tale Of Us.
2. Patrick Topping 'Forget' (Hot Creations)
According to the good people at Shazam, this is the biggest electronic anthem of the summer. From Sankeys to Circo Loco, it's certainly right up there.
3. Wankelmut & Emma Louise 'My Head Is A Jungle' (Mk Remix) (Universal)
Meanwhile, over at Pacha, Marc Kinchen's piano-strewn remix is still causing chaos from the dance floor to the VIP and right up to the Funky Room.
4. Gus Gus – 'Crossfade' (Maceo Plex Remix) (Kompakt)
Kompakt Record's biggest track of 2014 was supported by Pete Tong and Sasha alike. Massive vocal synth-house anthem, hearing it drop was the definition of a great night in Ibiza.
5. Tensnake – 'Pressure' (Special Request remix) (Virgin)
While Armand's mix of CJ Bolland 'Sugar Is Sweeter' was revived for festivals and dance floors everywhere, Paul Woolford's re-fix of Marco Niemerski's collaboration with Thabo was the 2014 speed garage-inspired equivalent. Space is still recovering.

If you're going to Ibiza, you have to catch a sunset. And if you want to do it in style, make a reservation at Sunset Ashram, a UJ fave. This rustic, beach- chic terracota beach hut on Cala Conta has a distinct hippie vibe, laid back tunes, an Indian-themed menu and the best sunset views this side of the island. They have two seatings – book the 7:30 one to make sure you catch the sunset. |

Like most beachside restaurants in Ibiza, if it's hard to find, it's most likely worth it. Such is the case with Ses Boques, in Es Cubells. Follow the signs down the steep hill and when you arrive at glorious views of fishing boats in a bay, you're there. Specialities include a whole sea bass encrusted in salt, but whatever you order, plan to stay for a few hours. |
