Squeezing the, um, orange. Orange slice potholder pattern from maggiescrochet.com

A life lived completely in orange, as Hari Krishnas and Dutch football fans will tell you, is no picnic.

The recent launch of easyHotel, the latest budget initiative from the ubiquitous Stelios means you can now travel the world via easyCruise or easyJet, send e-mails at easyCafes and, when you've done all that, bed down in an orange room for as little as a tenner.

As you might expect, the first easyHotel, is rather short on Philippe Starck interiors and gourmet restaurants, in fact, it will cost you extra even to get your room cleaned. The rooms are simply furnished, with one orange wall and a flat screen TV to keep you company. You can choose between a room with or without a window, and there are even some disabled equipped rooms, all of which can be yours for a mere ten quid.

You can book now, and the doors open for business on the first of August. Expect a glut of oranginess around the globe in months to come.
