Personal shoppers are a funny breed. If you've ever seen one of Selfridges obsequious minions scurrying round after moneyed taste vandals, or had the benefit of one of Topshop's 'style' advisors you will know what I mean. |

However, Adrienne's personal shopping at The Shop at Bluebird, is deliberately comic. Taking her clients to the floor, Adrienne (remember her from the room service menu at the GEH?) will use her magic to take the stress out of Christmas shopping by inviting customers to help her create a fabulous performance piece - inspired from the way they shop - at SW3's hot new space. Speaking of which, the entire ground floor (previously the Food Market), has been reinvented as a designer überstore and exhibition space - finally some life on the King's Road! (It's currently work in progress, though.) And if Adrienne is anything to judge forthcoming installations by, we're hooked already. While it may have a hint of the Dover Street Market, at least the humour at The Shop at Bluebird is intentional, unlike the fun that can be had at the expense of the absurdly pretentious staff at Rei Kawakubo's store.
