Not since the days of Oliver Twist, Eliza Doolittle and the Little Match Girl have London's natural produce markets seen such popularity. |

And rightly so. Food market sojourns immerse you in the simplest of pleasures - satiating all the senses, while providing probably the most pleasant way to socialise. (My trip to Borough a couple of weeks ago saw me swigging Prosecco in a series of impromptu meetings with, in this particular order: my ex-room mate in halls, brother's best friend and then my former partner, who all got along famously over the course of a Friday afternoon.) At the end of August, Spitalfields
launched its food section (and, hurrah, it's open on Sundays too!!),
and continuing on the market tip, today sees the launch of Exmouth Market's
food fair. And with names such as Moro's Samantha Clark, Borough's Monika
Linton, and Louise Brewood, founder of Broadway Market, taking the helm,
it's looking to be good. |

So check in for a cuppa at the Monmouth Coffee Company, scavenge for bites ranging from Swedish beetroot gravadlax to Neal's Yard's finest stilton and finish it all off with a pint of organic cider. Oh yes, and don't forget your address book: cottage is the new leopard print, dontcha know? Exmouth
