Have a late night affair with your Tesco Metro, mainly because it's the only thing open? Well, now you can get some culture before you hit the curry aisles. |

Not in any way associated with Tesco (but am sure Tesco wishes it was), 'TescoDisco' is a new weekly nocturnal art salon at 43 South Molton Street. While showing art in a club/bar setting after hours may not sound particularly new, this one promises an experience that is totally unique. Each week a combination of art, installations, live performance and music complement a monthly theme (we love a bit of theme'ing). This month the genre happens to be 'Disintegration' and
launches this week with 'Tokyo Mon Amor' celebrating the Japanese
love affair with the electronic world and its imagined dystopian repercussions.
On view will be fine art and short films combined with sounds provided
by Sonic Dragolgo and Pop. |

Future themes include Jack The Ripper and Stuckists: Alternative Turner Prize. As you've probably guessed it's a tad more alternative than a few wall paintings with some random lounge CD on shuffle. TescoDisco art for all complete with extended hours. TescoDisco
- launches tonight 8pm-3am |
