Grown up clothes for grown up women - now there is a novelty. From the first dress with its cropped sleeves, inverted triangle silhouette and tone on tone decoration this was a collection designed by someone confident and focussed. From glistening sequined panels, through matte and shine insertions and finally to draped jersey the collection had a clear vision, a firm editorial eye and yet never became boring or repetitive. the evolution of the concept and line from graphic black structure through to ethereal draped white was balanced and consistent.
Fuss and clutter was stripped away- much more difficult for a designer to opt for than many would assume. Shapes and styles covered a clever spectrum from covered up yet chic through to figure hugging and sexy and finally on to fluid and sexy draping with the finest of strap and tie details,
Although the colour palette was controlled it still encompassed black, white, silver, ecru, ice blue and taupe.
Fabrics also demonstrated editorial know how in the combinations of stiff and structured surfaces gently morphing in fluid jersey.
This was a collection which should have buyers reaching for their order pads and customers going to the fitting rooms.
