Liberty Regent Street by Great Marlborough St London W1 www.liberty.co.uk |
Those gorillas still haven't satisfied their party itch... Yet another London benefit for Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, the charity du jour, tonight at Villa Elephant on the River, 135 Grosvenor Rd, SW1. £ 50 at the door, but you could find yourself rubbing shoulders with Jude Law and Boy George.
As one of London's best loved and oldest department stores, Liberty is currently enjoying something of a revival – and that's not just with a swish new wing enveloping its menswear, beauty and shoe departments – but people seem to be remembering just how cool a store it is. I mean they might just as well have invented the words "eclectic" and "bohemian". And now a new string has been added to the bow in the shape of the
Liberty card. It's not a store card in the credit sense but all credit
must go to Liberty with this new addition. You'll receive their magazine
"At Liberty" which tells you all about the new collections,
products and themes they will have running throughout the store over
the season. For instance, this Christmas there's a Madame de Pompadour
boudoir thing going on and the magazine is full of nubile young fillies
languishing in beautiful undies… (one for the boys). |
Is the Christmas party season starting to leave its unmistakable marks? Start to look as if you're in need of a benefit for yourself? For the lads, Nickel for Men's Morning After Rescue Gel (Lendemain de Fête) provides a shock treatment. Stretching and firming all the right places and eliminating those telling pouches and circles. For the lasses, Talika's Eye Therapy Patch might just do the trick. Both available at Space.NK
