Tackling for Tiffany's
800m people, mostly supposedly straight males, watching 22 men in silver spandex chasing a piece of Tiffany's jewellery. Hmm.
Fluff up those sofa pillows, get out the TV trays 'cause this Sunday it's Superbowl XXXVII.

This Sunday, Superbowl XXXVII (37 in laymen lingo) will grace the screens of over 800 million people worldwide. Now football I may not understand, but Tiffany's I do. Men in tights tackling for the Tiffany's trophy - I like it.
Helmut Lang, Viv Westwood and Alexander McQueen are among the labels at Designer Sale UK's first sale of the year on February 20-23. Join their mailing list today and gain access to the invitation only preview on Wednesday February 19.
Although fit men in silver spandex may be sweating up a storm, the rest of us will be doing little more exercise than flexing our biceps: lifting hand to mouth to shove in Cheezies, Domino's and Bud Lights. Mmmm. Just thinking about it gets me excited.

If junk and jodhpurs still haven't convinced you to stay up till 11pm, let's talk about some things that might:

Million dollar ads, pom-poms and enough cheerleaders to explain why baby blue eyeshade is still being produced. And then there's the half-time show (do you remember the 3-D one?) This year, there are definitely some interesting combinations: No Doubt joins Shania Twain for some navel-gazing appeal, Celine Dion will whinge 'God Bless America' (a bit rich since she's CANADIAN) and the Dixie Chicks will 'hick along to the national anthem.

And last but not least: most Superbowl parties around town have secured licensing until 4am. For that we can cheer for any team.

Superbowl XXXVII: Oakland Raiders vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (feel all masculine now)
Sunday 11pm on Channel Five and Sky Sports 1.
