Everybody's doin' it , so why aren't you?
Come on do it! Feel your level best! 1949 Lucky Strike advertisement
January is so much fun. The weather is shite, Christmas has left permanent damage, and socializing seems like a four letter word.

What happened to you? You used to be so much fun?

Crawl out of your cave and turn that frown upside down, ‘cause partying is about to have a bit of a Renaissance.
Need more than a dash of renaissance to lift your moods? Edinburgh Fringe Festival veteran John Hegley kicks off the BAC's Tickle Your Head Comedy Fest tonight with the 2002 festival crowd pleaser The Sound of Paint Drying. 8pm at Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill, SW11. Bookings 020 7223 2223 or here.

The Renaissance Club. Kicking off on the 1st of Feb, London's hottest online members bar is throwing a bit of a bash - that's a 28-day bash.

Sounds good? It gets better. This bash isn't even strictly a local thing. Bloody Mary crawls in Paris, cigars in Cuba, three-day weekends at Skibo and swank soirees at venues like Noble Rot and the Embassy will ensure that your 28-day marathon is an active one.

Special offers at select restaurants and bars around town will also be available to R members every day of the week, every month of the year.

If that weren't enough - the R kids are do-gooders, too. The fees for the first 280 memberships will be donated to one of their 28 charities in celebration of '28 days'.

Jump on the bandwagon soon, and you might be one of the last to catch their introductory 89-quid membership offer. Such a deal.

This January, trade in your tracksuit bottoms for your dancing shoes - after all, what good is sitting alone in your room?

First party kicks off on February 1 for a founder members' lunch at the Collection restaurant in Chelsea... See you there.
