Yes Please Sir
Never too nippy for tea. Let it flow freely.
The easiest way to be fashionable now is to act like a lady or gentleman.

It may still be a bit nippy for summer's must-have '40s tea-dresses and top hats, but the weather should never stop you biting into a trend early.

Join the backlash against the ladette and help eradicate drunken, foul-mouthed women forever. Gone are the days (or nights) of the vodka party - today's best soirees consists of a good cup of Darjeeling, a fine set of print china and a delectable selection of haute pastries.

Ideally, you should hold a tea party at home. Send handwritten invitations to only your closest friends. Tell them the time, date and location and ensure that they dress in their best. On the day, lay your table with your finest vintage linen and the sweetest china you can find (Design duo Eley Kishimoto do the perfect china range, decorated with tiny dots and hearts.) Order pastries from Patisserie Valerie on Marylebone High Street and simply enjoy your friends company whilst the tea flows freely.

Alternatively, you could always dine out. Restaurants such as Sketch on Conduit Street have been quick to catch on to the popularity of afternoon tea parties. A visit to their Tea Salon is a must. The patisserie offers what every girl wants - elegance and flavour encapsulated in the most delicate creations. Just be sure to remember your manners!
