Switcheroo
Can a Tricycle bring about a switcheroo for you?
A man is about to board his plane, pauses on the tarmac, breaks out into hysterical fits of laughter, does a 360, and boards a completely different plane to rid himself of his predictable existence.

Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Okay, you may not be able to do this yourself (who would feed the cat?) but get over to the Tricycle theatre in Kilburn, and you can watch Marly Maguire give it a go as Marie Jones' 'A Night in November' returns for an encore run.

Kilburn... Yes, I said Kilburn. Pull yourself away from the humdrum of your normal postal code and revel in the delights that this hidden NW6 gem has to offer.

This intimate theatre-cum-café-cum-gallery-cum-cinema-cum-cosy hangout puts the West End bullies to shame. The acting here is always first-rate and the plays performed aren't your average mass-market no-brainers. Become an 'Associate' theatre member and they'll even brand a seat with your name on it - how’s that for making your mark?

If you're more of a cinema buff, bypass the theatre and continue on to the cinema. With plush seats, industry awards and Voguette seal of approval (Vogue claims the Tricyle Cinema is "Britains most beautiful film venue") you really can't go wrong in this lush space.

So stop being a snob, get out that A-Z and reconnect with Kilburn - you won't be disappointed.

A Night in November opens today and runs till March 8.

No switcheroo, but the spandex and flesh on display will lighten the story of Olga Spessivtseva as the Eifman Ballet of St Petersburg debuts Red Giselle tonight at Sadlers Wells. Until Thursday only. 7:30pm, Rosebery Avenue, EC1. Tickets £10-37. Call 020 7863 8000 or book online.
Also plenty of plush seats at the Sanctuary Soho. Don't mix it up with the Covent Garden spa but get comfortable in the first floor love seat and embark on some late Monday night drinking. Until 3am. 5 Greek St, W1.
