Weapons of mass disruption
Yes, that's a phone around her neck. And Adidas kneesocks. Photo: LaChapelle for Xelibri
Oh darlings you will certainly be disarmed when you see these little cuties in the shops…!

And imagine your friends’ faces when you turn up sporting the newest of new phones from Xelibri.
Their mothers didn't tell them not to play with their food. Remember Stomp? The First Vienna Vegetable Orchestra goes one step further and uses only vegetables as instruments. 7pm tonight at the Purcell Room, RFH, Belvedere Rd, South Bank, SE1. Tickets £8 here or 020 7960 4242
These are certainly going to get that mobile envy from a few years ago rocking again - remember how badly you wanted a Nokia "Banana" phone and how you coveted a WAP enabled jobbie? Now there's Vertu looking so sexy but these ones look more like fashion accessories... and that's just what's intended.

Xelibri (from Siemens) is meant to be flashed around and shown off. With two new collections each year (just like real fashion designers) you'll be able to buy the latest model to go with your own new look for the day/season - depending on how fickle your tastes are. Über-fashion photographer David LaChapelle has shot the ad campaign which might also give you some idea of how "fashion" they are thinking with the brand.

Also you won't have to go to a techy store and feel really shallow because you want the one that's red/glittery/sporty/completely superficial since they'll be sold in department stores (yes, just like real fashion designers!). You get the picture?

Rumour has it that these will be available first off from good old Selfridges and then nationwide but you can register for information at www.xelibri.com and get the low down before the rest of the nation. "Oh that's so last week darling" you can chirrup as they try to impress you with their new find.

Cause a stir with your Xelibri (no, I don't know how to pronounce it either) and you'll be the one everyone is talking about er, and to of course.

Xelibri mobile phones, RRP £130-260. Pre-order on www.xelibri.com
Available from Selfridges in March, nationwide in April

And it gives you an excuse to visit the Wapping Project centre and its trendy cafeteria-style Wapping Food. Until 11pm. Wapping Wall, E1. 020 7680 2080
