Snow monsters? Have you been drinking?
Absolut saké. It's a vodka... It's a saké. It's Wokka Saké!

Keep out the chills with this super smooth vodka called Wokka Saké available only at Ian Schrager venues in London until its official launch on March 25.

Wokka Saké is the newest and coolest vodka to hit the scene . It combines Japanese saké and an original recipe of triple-distilled grain vodka and has been inspired by the giant snow monsters that wander around in Japan’s Asahi mountains… (See what I mean?!)

Head down to the South Bank tonight and hear two of Mozart's most beautiful works performed by the always impressive Orchestre de Champs Elysées. £6-35. 7:30pm tonight only. Royal Festival Hall, Belvedere St, SE1.

If a vodka-sake alliance sounds like your kind of spirit, head down to the Long bar at the Sanderson and try out a new take on some old faves. We’ve even come up with a couple to get you started:

Sakétini: Wokka Saké, shake and strain with ice, add a pearl onion or pickled cucumber
Pear Sakétini: Two parts Wokka Saké, one part pear nectar, shake and strain with ice, add pear wedge.
Ginza Mary: Seven parts Wokka Saké, four parts tomato juice, one part freshly squeezed lemon juice, a few dashes of Tabasco, a dash of Soya sauce, freshly ground pepper.
Tokyo Rose: Two parts Wokka Saké, one part melon liquour, shake and strain with ice, garnish with cherry.

And if you can't be bothered to visit a Schrager haunt, Wokka Saké's unveiling date in the UK is right around the corner, so get those shakers ready.
