Just as I'm sure I'll hurl if I have to describe another bloody frock, Paris comes around and reminds me why I love fashion. The City of Lights really knows how to put on a good catwalk show. And as usual, it's us Brits who do it best. Photo: (c) 2003 Christopher Moore Ltd |

Alexander McQueen, the 33-year-old Cockney has taken the city by storm. Quite literally! This season he staged his catwalk show in a glassed-in wind tunnel. A bit of a challenge for the models - you try smiling in the face of gale force winds - but, on the other hand, the front row seemed delighted to finally learn that those skinny bitches actually won't blow away in a stiff breeze. Galliano, another of England's expats, also wowed the audience, both at Christian Dior and at his namesake collection. Anna Wintour's favourite wild-child continued his Oriental circus romp theme this year, with hints of Harlequin clowns in the painted faces and fluffy ruffled blouses. Bondage seems to be making a comeback. Galliano chose lace-up vinyl drainpipe trousers as his opening look. A new take on Parisian glamour, perhaps? Check out all the latest shows on Style.com.
