The new Monday club night is designed for all the same-sex inclined street bums and hip-hop boys, or indeed anyone who wears their baseball cap the wrong way round. Sounds come courtesy of Kinky D, Nikki Lucas, Tyrone and D'Lux, providing everything from soulful garage to funky R+B and hip-hop. Meanwhile, the crew from gayhiphop.com are on a mission to prove that batty boys have wider musical tastes than vertiginous-heeled Aussie pop triumphs or manufactured muppets and puppets. Attempting to club homophobia to death they have started running their own night called 'Pac Man'. With all this going on, maybe the 'Eminem in the Closet' theory isn't so implausible. After all he does look like a rent boy, doesn't he? FLAVA, 7-9 Cranbourne St, Leicester Square, WC2 ST |
