Tucked away in the back corner of Les Trois Garçons restaurant is one of the city's best new nightspots. Lounge Lover only opened a few weeks ago, but the spot is proving so popular that the hostesses have had to lock the doors and turn people away. |

No wonder. Sumptuous without being stuffy, Lounge Lover is a testament to louche luxury. The décor is reminiscent of a 30s New York speakeasy. Antique crystal chandeliers illuminate the scarlet walls and leather club chairs are arranged in cosy couplets for intimate chats. Attentive table staff can be hard to find this far north, but Lounge Lover has managed to secure some of the friendliest off-duty models eager to cater to your every whim. The drinks are suitably divine. Order the Moulin Rouge, a delicate mix of amaretto and fresh passion fruit, and spend the evening checking out the eclectic crowd of city bankers, fashion folk and mulleted hipsters. But visit soon, as the management eventually plan to turn Lounge Lover into a members bar. Lounge Lover EC |
