Remember Howards' Way? You, too, could be ambling down a pontoon wearing a pastel sweatshirt slung casually around your shoulders and rolled-up chinos revealing (fake)-tanned feet in a pair of well worn deck shoes... I can picture it now. |

Come on, we all know that nice girls love a sailor but how about giving it a try yourself one weekend? And boys, you know girls go weak for salty-sea-dog-rugged-hunks (even if we say we don't) so a new company, Sailing Seeker, is offering you the opportunity to give it a go! Sailing, that is. For only £250 a head, you and up to nine (ship)mates can bundle down to sleepy Hamble on the south coast for a weekend of 'jibing' and 'tacking', or just dressing like you're about to. Your captain will look after you and teach you, if you want to learn the ropes (har har), or leave you if you want to relax and watch the world drift by. Everything is included in the price - apart from booze and your evening meal - so all you need to do is pitch up (bring some weatherproof clothing - or you can hire it) and off you go, into the sunset. Cue music. "Always there…" Sailing Seeker, www.sailingseeker.com |
