Don't worry, me neither - but several hundred people in New York did, and 250 of them turned up for this anonymous curtain call.

Forget installation art, Flash Mobs are what the art cognoscenti are watching, forming from emails that are forwarded from person to person.

The good part is that this is the kind of art that anyone can participate in. Show up, do what's asked of you and disperse into the crowd when the sirens start.

The bad part is that normally you have to be a 'quite arty person' who is invited by another 'very arty person' to figure out where the mob is. So you're back to square one.

Flash mobs are forming all over - even Minneapolis and Austin. So London, what are you waiting for? What do you think - Big Ben, top hats, tails and wiry moustaches? 7:04pm. Name the day and I'll be there.
