Hangover
Cover of Life July 14 1952 by Robert C. Osborn

Eh?

No dear reader, I haven't gone crazy and decided to give up booze, and I am not suggesting that you do so either.

In fact, I am simply embracing our country's pub culture, bring on the beers and encouraging you to love your drink.

The Bow Festival begins its two week run today with workshops to make your own radio broadcas and inflatable Dream Spaces. Various venues throughout Mile End and Bow until July 27.
A one-week run of two of Alan Bennett's best in fhe double bill Office Suite at the Richmond Theatre. 7:45pm. The Green, TW9. £12-24. 020 8940 0088.

Aktiv-K capsules are the boozers' new best friend. Sod the pint of water before bed routine - simply neck a few of these and the charcoal ingredient soaks up the tannins (impurities) before they get into your blood, so you don't feel rough the next day!

Brilliant isn't it - and can you imagine how much fun they had testing these out? To avoid a hangover you simply take two capsules before your first drink, one with each following one and then two more capsules at the end of your last drink.

If you're a little cleaner living than us here at UJ and just fancy detoxing your system (but don't want to try the colonic irrigation route) you can also use the same capsules. They work by taking out the impurities of your food - not just liquid. Just take one capsule with each meal or snack over two weeks and then your system is clean and ready for the next assault!

60 capsules (good for about five booze trips) £22.99
