Aiming to do to Lebanese what Hakkasan did to Dim Sum, Fakhreldine has adopted a Parisian chef and a contemporary attitude to give its authentic menu a bit of a face lift. Don't worry, there will still be lamb and veggies, stuffed aubergines and interesting sweets, but they'll just be with a twist (more fusion?) and probably a lot smaller portions. The cuisine isn't the only thing to go under the knife; the interior's received a complete revamp, too. With design duo Stiff + Trevillion (Buddha Bar, Atlantic) at the helm, their Midas touch has been used to glamorise this soon to be destination eatery. Every corner has been marbled and glossed, giving Fakhreldine a very slick new shelf life. First Pangea, now a sexed up eatery... Piccadilly, I don't even recognize you! Fakhreldine reopens today TR |
