It's that time of year again: DJ Magazine's Top 100 list is coming out. Launch party for nominations tonight at AKA. 8pm-2am. 18 West Central St, WC1. Free.
Mancs progressives Elbow put on a live gig at Virgin Megastore. 6pm. 14-19 Oxford St, W1. Free.
The event is both a tribute to and a celebration of the UK's coolest brands, allowing them to show off what makes them 'soooo cool' to industry leaders like Rankin and Alexandra Schulman, to name a few, and open themselves up to the public. The showcase will feature the work from designers, car manufacturers, beauty brands and retailers and you'll also see able to try out some of the products including mini-makeovers from Shiseido, style advice from TopShop advisers and or try your hand at Scalextric racing. My only query is whether brands like Kellogg's are actually "cool" but I guess you can go along and work that out for yourself. Cool BrandNoon Tribute Event - today at 3-5:30pm |
