To weed out the worst dogs, Threadless.com is now bringing democracy - HotOrNot.com-style - to the design process. Users submit designs which are then rated for ten days by other users. They are then either shown the door, or given the VIP treatment and put into production. The temptation to to go all H&M on these beaut's is resisted, and designs are retired after just a few runs to maintain exclusivity. However, true to democratic principles, everybody can afford to join the party at just around a tenner for a T-shirt. Threadless.com MF |
