Restaurants open and close, but they rarely re-locate. Pétrus, however, has always seemed to drum to a different beat. |

When you have Marcus Wareing, a Michelin star restaurant, and an interior designer friend by the name of David Collins, re-location is a pretty safe bet. So safe that I think you'd better book now if you have any hopes of seeing the inside of this theatrical space in the foreseeable future. Want a menu teaser before you bite the bait? How about sautéed frogs' legs with lemon confit, carpaccio of foie gras with diced mango, truffle toast and Lobster Arnold Bennett, a dish that created quite a name for itself (and a cult-like following to rival Nobu's black cod) at the Savoy. If you're after gastro grub scrawled on a dated blackboard, save yourself the call. But if you fancy a treat, and want to get close to the man himself, (book the coveted table in the kitchen and you'll get real close) then pick up the phone and give in to temptation. Pétrus TR |
