Now, I know we at UJ are always going on about tapas. It's true: little bits 'o food make us happy. And we’ve also been known to speak fondly about sangria. We like most things Spanish; we may even want to be Spanish. |

A nationality change isn't an option (we've tried), but we can still live out our Spanish dream vicariously through food. We do have certain requirements though. The Spanish restaurant of choice must be open late, have questionable décor, and employ an olive-skinned waitstaff that speak (at least, a bit of) Spanish. We're after the real deal and not some San Antonio nightmare. Enter El Rincon tapas bar in Clapham. Hidden on a side-street, the atmosphere is loud and the staff a happy crowd. The food is superb: croquetas and jamon, tortilla and sizzling prawns and, of course, grand paellas for sharing. El Rincon won't kick up a fuss if all you want is a few cervezas.
