Following their football team's bizarre move to Milton Keynes, the good people of Wimbledon now have a new sport to concentrate on... mutt racing. And they welcome everyone to enjoy the fun too. Some things are best done in teams. Wimbledon Stadium is the kind of place you'd prefer to have some back up. Thankfully, groups of 10 or more receive free entry, along with two complimentary drinks, a basket meal and a £1 bet all for £12. Not to be outdone, Britpop-star favourite, Walthamstow Stadium charge between £1-3 cover fee, but there is a free lunchtime entry on Mondays and Fridays. If it's good enough for Mr Damon Albarn & Co, it's good enough for us. However, I must offer a word of warning. An outfit of council estate casualwear is optional but, if you fancy making it home in one piece, make sure to leave your aura of patronising conceit back in Chelsea, where it belongs. Wimbledon
