I truly hate IKEA. And no, the meatballs, the hotdogs and the £2.99 bamboo plants
to do not make up for the endless queues, useless staff and ridiculous
amounts of nuts and bolts needed to put anything together. |

It's not that I don't like what IKEA has to offer - I am the first to rave about the kitchen selection, and even the furniture does the trick. But it's when speaking about furniture that I touch on a particularly sore spot. It's a common syndrome: looks great in the store; how the *%&$ are you supposed to set it up at home? Hired help is the first thing that comes to mind, but if you, like me, have been rejected by an IKEA member of staff at the suggestion, you're left in a bit of a bind. I'm pleased to say, help is on the way. Screwdriver Limited, based in Brentford, is a company made-up of retired builders who will jump at the chance to put together any disassembled purchase you've hauled home. They're professional, efficient and, the best part is, they actually know what they're doing. They've costed out labour quotes for most units from IKEA, John Lewis and various other leading department stores, so it's easy to immediately factor in the actual cost of your chosen unit. IKEA doesn't have to be a four-letter word. Save your relationship and leave the DIY bit to a professional. Screwdriver Limited TR |
