We Need No One
Rosie the Riveter shows the way. Original image by J Howard Miller

Perched on the corner of Old Street and Kingsland Road is an amazing new shop and café called No One.

Owned by the same duo that runs neighbouring Hoxton hangout dreambagsjaguarshoes, No One is attracting the same ultra hip clientele.

The glamour rally Gumball 3000 has been turned into a movie and a suitably star studded crowd including Mr & Mrs Madonna will turn up for the world premiere at Odeon Leicester Sq, WC2. 7pm. Starspotting free.

A saucy new monthly night promising that elusive Gay Mod feel is launched at the Social tonight. 7-11pm. 5 Little Portland St, W1. Free.

The shop stocks mens and womenswear by young London designers - think of the best customised vintage pieces and stenciled T shirts, as well as a seriously desirable range of accessories by Vickers Hillier and Lady Luck. The prices are nice - starting at just a couple of quid for a trinket.

The café is cool, too - jars of sweets line the walls, offering you all your traditional favorites from Jelly Babies and Licorice Allsorts to cola bottles. Sweets come as 100 grams in a little brown paper bag. Delightful. If sweets aren't your thing, the café also does a great selection of hot and cold drinks, salads and sandwiches.

So resistance is futile, dreambagsjaguarshoes is taking over the area and No One can stop them.
