It sounds like someone's taking the piste. But you can now guarantee yourself a White Christmas with a home snow machine. |

Swiss firm, Bächler Top Track has just produced a domestic snow canon, in case that temperamental old thing called the weather doesn't deliver the festive goods. The company - who have been making snow canons for ski pistes for 30 years - claim the Home Snow Canon can produce up to one and a half cubic metres of professional piste quality snow, per hour. The only other things you will need are two regular 230 volt plugs, a tap, and a temperature of minus one to three degrees Celsius. Oh, and a lot of spare cash. At £2,500 for the machine, it will be only the most decadent who'll buy one. But seeing as though David Furnish has recently described folically bankrupt Elton as his very own Santa, it's possible that come Christmas, Dave will find a big canon firing out a white substance all over the place. What a nice treat. Home Snow snow machine from Bächler
