Shopaholic December
Pitch your web-toed wonders

If you consider yourself a bit of a trainer aficionado, then it's more or less mandatory to own certain pairs at some point in your life.

You know the ones I'm talking about - Reebok Pumps and soft-shelled high tops (think Jane Fonda), Air Jordans and Adidas Torsions, to name a few.

Urban Junkies Shopaholic is a monthly feature that gives you the highlights of what is new in shop brought to you in collaboration with oki-ni.
The NFT kicks off the festive season with Eat, Drink and Be Merry!, a programme of classic ads, shorts and other cinematic indulgence. 6pm. Belvedere Rd, SE1. £7.50. 020 7928 3232 or online.

Although most the aforementioned have tried to make a comeback over the last decade, Torsions are the only kicks that never really went away. Personally, I'm a sworn fan of the classic turquoise and yellow combo. However, I know that with the exception of cross country pinsters and acid house ravers, I'm in the minority. If the colourway is the only thing that stopped you before, you're in luck, as they're now available in lead and electric yellow and rose blossom and light grey. So pitch your web-toed wonders and go back to the basics, Torsion is where it's at.

Adidas Torsion ZX8000 available exclusively from oki-ni - £90

When you think Evisu, you usually think of jeans with a painted swiggle. How times have changed. Merging elements of their traditional kimono print (focusing on birds) with bold contemporary stripes, Evisu has spun a hip knitwear range for their Donna collection, including turtlenecks, combat pants and cardi's.

Prima-Donna Hampstead Theatre officially opens Revelations, its new comedy exploring 'swinging for beginners' among other coupley issues. 7pm. Eton Av, NW3. £12.50. 020 7722 9301 or online.
Last chance this week to see Out of Time at Tate Modern, Hackelbury Gallery's Icons of Modern Photography and the Sex Sells exhibition at Clapham Gallery.

What makes these pieces even more of a score is thanks to the hand finishing and labour intensive production (each piece takes days to produce!), you won't be finding high street replicas anytime soon.

Evisu Donna collection available exclusively from oki-ni - £100 and up

Swing by the V&A to see the Swarovski Christmas tree by Alexander McQueen.
