Got Spunk?
In search of uniqueness

Why is finding a unique T one of the hardest tasks?

Once you could simply shell out for an A Bathing Ape import and be sure of uniqueness. Now, like Junk de Luxe, Rude, and what have you, those have become so GAPified, that everybody, his mate and his granny has one.

Benders and breeders party and get it on as one happy family at Playtime before its Egg debut. 9pm-3:30am. 3 New Burlington St, W1. £7.

School Disco goes West End and launches its new home at Sound complete with naff uniforms and ties. 10:30pm-3am. 10 Wardour St, WC2. £15. Advance tickets online.

Sure, you can trawl the market stalls, but that takes serious effort and there is really no guarantee. But we may have found a solution to this T dilemma.

Spunky, a label out of Brixton, has finally put an interesting spin on the world's most versatile item. They operate the way a record label does. Artists and wannabe's submit T-shirt designs and the chosen designs are released under the Spunky label, but are fully credited to the artist.

The best part is, their collection is constantly evolving and they're supporting new talent, so great designers who didn't know how to get started are now given the tools (and finances - 300 quid is paid for each successful design) to do so. Forget expensive T-shops and check out the Spunk.
