P Diddy needs to shut up and buy some new clothes. Posh should concentrate on her talented half and Jay-Z should stop threatening to quit and actually do so. Hip Hop needs some new blood and after tonight, it looks like we just might have some. |

As part of the Yes Yes Y'all exhibition, celebrating the first 10 years of hip hop, The Hospital - Dave 'Eurythmics' Stewart and Paul 'Microsoft' Allen's creative incubator - has been hosting a series of open mic comp's around London, choosing two finalists from each of the four heats. Tonight, the eight finalists will battle in front of a star-studded panel of judges for the Hip Hop Crown. With a first prize of recording time to make a two-track demo in the Hospital's stellar studios, it's safe to say that these freestylers are going to be going for broke. In the spirit of Hip Hop greats, The Hospital's taking it back to the basics by ditching the bling and bringing back the talent. Now all we need is the return of the Ghetto Blasters. Wishful thinking? |
