So much more fun than getting it on Bond St

Who wants a free Alexander McQueen Jacket?

Thought that would get your attention. Now before you get too excited, this isn't a fantastically generous UJ gift; you'll have to make it yourself.

To celebrate the beginning of Paris Fashion Week, an exclusive kimono-style jacket pattern - from McQueen's A/W 2003 collection - can be downloaded from photographer Nick Knight's site, SHOWstudio.com, for free. Originally made of black striped silk, feel free to use your twill of choice. However, I'd steer clear of crushed velvet if I were you.

And before you say, "I can't sew", think of it as a worthwhile winter challenge. How many times have you walked by the McQueen boutique, only to drool on the window and leave empty-handed? Well, now's your chance to get a piece of the action.

Wannabe designers, would-be fashionistas and eager seamstresses, get out your needle and thread - it's SHOWtime.
