Located just outside Notting Hill, K West opened its minimal glass doors way back in 2001 and has become 'tout la rage' with all those Westside music and media whores, not to mention receiving a nod from Vogue. Such recognition has been received thanks to its sleek modernist interior and not least its holistic spa where you can chill in the flotation tank. The new 60-seat restaurant seems set to enhance this haven of uncluttered calm. Contrary to its name, Kanteen will not be serving soup kitchen cuisine on metal trays, rather Executive Chef, Stephen Spooner has created a modern eclectic menu drawing on his experience in France - and Ireland where he ran the kitchen at the Lord Mayors official residence in Dublin. |
