Fast forward to today and the ever innovating website/gallery oki-ni has collaborated with Rolls Royce-like boot manufacturers Hunter, to create what must surely be the first ever pair of Wellingtons stylish enough to swank around town in without looking like a straggler from the perenially unstylish Countryside Alliance.

Mind you, after a winter in which the frankly retarded-looking Ugg boot ruled, and several seasons when men's shoes seem to be designed with orthopaedic patients in mind, a Wellington is no dafter than most.
