Lad scent

Good news fellas, you can now smell like a greasy workshop, sticky road surface or launderette.

However, instead of actually becoming a mechanic/tarmac layer/bagwash attendant, you can just have a spray of Comme des Garçons' new aftershave range.

The newly launched Synthetics series is described as five "socially-incorrect fragrances based on man-made places and the materials of daily life". Admittedly this may sound fantastically pretentious, but it's only as daft as the usual esoteric nonsense of conventional perfume syntax.

The scents include Tar, Skai, Dry Clean, Soda and Garage; if you are wondering what they might smell like, expect hints of kerosene, town gas, grilled cigarettes, nail varnish and PVC. Which is all very avant-garde.

As you might imagine, it's not only the odour that's cutting edge. The bottles are transparent with the actual scent contained within a scrunched up industrial solvent style sachet, with striking faux stencilled text packaging.
