The brainchild of Barry Stilwell, promoter of the cult club night Tapestry (the monthly rock night in a Euston crypt), the festival is held at a Wild West theme park called the 'Spirit of the West' and celebrates alternative country bands (don't worry, there will be no Billy Ray's) and other up and coming acts. Sounds like your average festival so far, but with a site that consists of two towns: the sleepy law abiding Fort Smith and the rockin’ lawless Silver City, both complete with jailhouses, undertakers, stables, courthouses and saloons, this is definitely a different kind of festival. |
