Kosumo Kyoto
Itada kimasu

Ten years ago, fish and chips were about as close as you could get to sushi in the UK.

Fine dining and authenticity are the name of the game here. With a head chef who previously worked at the Japanese Imperial Family's favourite haunt, fresh fish, veggies and water that are flown in from Japan (amongst other places), and a seventy plus sake list, this is definitely going to be at the highest end of the dining scale.

The à la carte menu looks divine, but the main draw here is the traditional tasting menu called Kaiseki, where all seven courses are hand crafted by the head chef Kubota himself. It may be pricey, but this is one place where you get what you pay for.
