Rock and roll

It's rock and roll but not as we know it...

Ross Sinclair used to be in the Soup Dragons (remember them?). Now though, he's a superfly artist who's tipped to be nominated for the Turner Prize.

Sinclair's new exhibition Real Life Rock Opera is now on at The Agency Gallery and it's well worth a butchers; especially if you're into art or music, or you just fancy catching something five dimensional.

Sinclair makes sculptures. Really cool sculptures. He makes them out of musical instruments, wooden blocks, deers skulls and neon signs. Sinclair's speciality is neon signs - which means the gallery glows up like Soho.

Sinclair's inspirations are real life, music and culture - and the results are bold, witty and über contemporary. They're the kind of thing you'd furnish a New York loft apartment with (if you had one) - so your friends could see that you were arty and cool.

Take the sculpture called Bonnie Mary - it's a guitar, with deer horns stuck on, curly neon strings and a neon sign saying "Bonnie Mary" on the case. It might sound daft, but it's truly spectacular.

Mick Jagger would have loved all this before he went all soft.
