The glorious brainchild of art man Andrew Logan has been running since 1972 and previous highlights have included entries from artist Leigh Bowery, stylist Judy Blame and performance artist Divine. With a format similar to Miss World, the contestants apply to enter and will show swimwear, daywear and eveningwear in a catwalk style show. This year's ones to watch include Royal Academy big cheese Norman Rosenthal who is rumoured to have costumes designed by Sam Taylor-Wood and Tracey Emin, Little Richard the infamous vegetable artist, and the wonderful Piers Atkinson. Judges will be a pic 'n' mix style of famous faces including Pete Doherty, Sir Peter Blake, Grayson Perry, Brian Eno, Sian Philips, Jibby Beane, Boy George, Amanda Barrie and Zandra Rhodes. |
